Not daily, but I'm really interested in Swordtember challenge, because it gives a really nice base for pure design practice. Following "emotion" prompt, I made a sword that changes its properties based on the mental state of the wielder. I was basing the design on few properties that I think our emotions have: they're ever-flowing, fragile and stealthy, but when you unleash them they can do some serious damage. And I wanted to present a range that could really be felt on the battlefield. Doesn't get too positive, does it?
Had a few challenges trying to match rendering different materials into a somewhat consistent style, especially for the stained glass on the sword and the metal itself. On the other hand, exploration for the VFX was really fun, as it can get very creative and playful.
