Into the 2023 (very vertically)

Continuing my yearly tradition to do a full painting during New Year's night, this time it's a bit more serious than usual. I wanted to reflect the seriousness of 2022, from war in Europe to the AI imagery issues. I tend to treat New Year's night as a short stop on our journey of life, when you can look back and around, take in the scenery, catch your breath and head again into the uncertain but hopeful future. Unfortunately the sheer scale prevented me from adding creatures or characters in any logical fashion, so I didn't get to have fun with fur, but overall I think this is a good addition and a nice reflection of my current skillset and, to an extent, state of mind, as we head into 2023.
